Latinx Business Development Program
Learn all about NABC’s Latinx Business Development Program which provides Spanish-speaking food producers with culturally appropriate, bilingual business technical assistance, trainings, workshops, and access to other valuable resources to address business needs or barriers.
Alex Perez is the Latinx Business Development Program Director. He was born in Guadalajara, Mexico and his hardworking farmworker family worked in Skagit’s agricultural industry for many years. His parents’ work ethic both inspired and motivated him to further his education. From a young age he was fascinated by personal finances and the business world, so he obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Washington University. He is now active in Skagit County serving his community in a variety of roles.
Juan Morales, Program Coordinator, joined NABC in June 2021, bringing his management and organizational expertise to the team. He has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Management from Skagit Valley College where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He is bilingual and biliterate as he is rooted in American and Mexican cultures. He is a community advocate with a diplomatic approach to resolving conflicts with objective and critical thinking processes.
